Julia Wanderi, the visionary Founder and CEO of Spacefix Africa, established the consultancy to address the region’s unique social research challenges and bridge complex gaps in development practice across Africa. Her profound dedication to advancing research excellence began with a deep passion for understanding human behavior and a commitment to driving impactful change.
With over two decades of experience, Julia has spearheaded diverse social research and project management initiatives across Africa, including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Africa, Ghana, Namibia, Angola, Mozambique, Central African Republic, Zambia, Malawi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Her expertise spans market and social research, consulting for government and private institutions, international and national NGOs, international research institutes, universities with a research focus, and other development organizations.
Julia’s educational journey reflects her commitment to excellence. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Sociology from the University of Nairobi, a certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation from the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), and a diploma in Information Management Information Systems (IMIS). She pursued a Master of Arts in Monitoring and Evaluation through Maseno University eLearning, and complemented her theoretical knowledge with practical experience from the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) hub at Kantar Public. Additionally, Julia has undergone specialized training at the Great Learning Academy, Strathmore University, and the University of South Wales / UNICAF Online.
